Yes. Hi, thanks for taking my question. I wanted to get your thoughts on the expected resolution of ABS. How do you see it technically feasible and also the supply chain, is it geared up to do the same, CBS versus ABS?
Sure. Thanks for the detailed answer. Second one is with regard to market share. Some of your new activations did yield a substantial wholesale market share jump in March and April, then it drastically fall as we got into May and June. Can you give some more color on that what has gone slow in the recent? Is it sub -segment performance or the product responses have been slower to come through because it didn't ultimately reflect in the Vahan market share. So I want to get some of depth of it?

Thanks for taking the question. The first 1 is with regard to E-3 wheeler, you are almost nearing the market leadership position in the E-3 wheeler passenger. So, in that context, I wanted to just check what is your thought of transitioning entire portfolio of ICE into the E-3 wheelers, what's the timeline you are looking at? And is it feasibly possible considering the user cases in the E-3 wheeler passenger. And similarly, the type of success you had in goods on the E -3 wheeler is looking better than the traditionalized ICE goods seg ment. So how are you planning to sustain it and build on the E-3 wheeler goods?
And looking at the product portfolio in 3 -wheelers, do you see more product introduction possibly in E-3 wheelers currently, if I'm not wrong, the rating of the power is relatively lower versus the peers. What's your thought of product positioning o r offerings possible in the next 1 year or 2 years?

So congrats on the EV bus momentum, which you have been able to achieve and the turnaround in Switch Mobility. Wanted to get your thoughts in terms of EV trucks also you have started delivering, how has been the product performance on key parameters, one. And second, what are the clients feedback and what are the improvements you're planning there for the financial year '26, '27?
Sure. And the second question is with regard to defense, considering that we still have a substantial hardware exposure versus the recent offers have been more electronics in that sense. Any medium-term thought process how you want to drive this business through JVs or some technology partners to capture the incremental relationship benefit in the defense portfolio?

So in the recent context of your supply chain realignment shutdown which you've taken, I wanted to understand. How do you see new plants' capacity versus the old plants? Because you have plants since inception, almost like 20+ years on. Is there a scope to shift the production and bring those operational efficiency; and think through beyond having that 14%-16% margin?
Sure. And the second one is the investment into some of the new ventures. You have been right in catching up the wave and nurturing some of the best entities within those, either if you look at Hero FinCorp or Ather to that extent. How do you look -- and you avoid the temptation to book profit in the IPOs, but how do you see the monetization? Would you look through for maturity of these industries to get out? Or would you look for the right time to make the best buck? How do you look at monetizing the same?

Yeah, Hi. Thanks for taking my question. Considering the Government of India's push for alternative fuel and one of the competitor talked about CNG variant and you also had it in fact , that EVs may take a longer time to enter this, what have been your R&D for here and what's the outlook you have in that space, especially for motorcycle, CNG or any alternative?
Thanks. Sir, extending the same, when we will see the commercialization for these, because that's where I put the question- competition talking about it, will it make commercial terms for you guys to adapt it or when you expect it, not next year maybe 2 years down the line, any thoughts on that?

Thanks for taking the questions. S o, the first question is , you had called out in home inverter, there has been a weakness. Do you think this is more short term or any structural changes you feel are challenges there?
Sure. Thanks for that detailed answer. Sir, second one is with regard to EV cell manufacturing. Considering that you might be approaching the OEMs or other parties for the same, what is the type of cell formats you are getting a better traction with a nd how are you planning capacity distribution for these cell formats as you build capacity? That's one. And second, any development on Hyundai MOU, which you have signed?

Hi, thanks for taking my question. So, the first question is with regard to sourcing. Post this steel protectionism or similarly the trade barriers which are going up in the globe , how do you look at the sourcing of your current product mix and also going into the EV space, any relook at the dependence on one nation, how you plan to reduce it for next 3 to 5 years?
And the second one is with regard to the new plant which has come up, how do you see it playing out in your overall scheme of production planning , one ? Second, similarly for sourcing arrangement amongst your plants, what's the benefit it can bring on to the table?

On E-Axle- traditionally the conventional transmission used to be made by 4-wheeler companies in-house. So, this completely opens up a new opportunity for you, because of EV? Second, what is the content you are supplying to the E-Axle, what type of parts; and what is the scope of expanding this content within the E -Axle, because many of the players are yet to localize E-Axle in India?
In 4W suspension, many of the 4W OEMs are very closely working with their own country - based partners, and India is more ruled by Japanese than the Koreans. So, does it restrict your market presence because of your partner being Korean?

So, the first question is with regard to the continuity of the government, does it help you in terms of G2G orders progressing further accelerating in the coming quarters or years. And also related to that is, what is the status of product performance of what you have supplied to some of the international clients both on guns and vehicle? Amit Kalyani The second question , the product performance is absolutely satisfactory. There are no complaints. There has been no issue of any kind. We are also now training the maintenance staff over there on maintaining these products for the medium to long term, in addition to the people that we have deployed to maintain . Secondly, the government is doubling down on creating opportunities for Indian companies to export, because it becomes a part of their external affairs development initiative as well and relationship dev elopment, long term relationship development initiatives. So, not only are they doing G2G, but there is also now, let's say, more funding being made available for exporting these products to certain target countries.
Sure, thanks. And the second one is with regard to the VRS in Mundra which we have again extended. Wanted to know the thought process, do you see a substantial productivity upgrade possible, and hence the investment towards it or how are you looking at that plant? Amit Kalyani So, look, in Mundra we have some parts of it which are very old. So, there the productivity is low. So, we want to completely modernize that and dramatically improve the productivity. And for that, clearly, we can't have so many people, extr a people. So, we are trying to do a VRS between a combination of VRS and retirement age of people. We aim to reduce a few hundred people from this plant in the next couple of years.

Yes, hi. So this is with regard to the tractor industry and your inventory. And I also wanted to check where they are. And if I had to look at your volume, they are up almost around 20% on Q-o-Q, but your capital employed in the business has shrunk by almost around 8%. And this is -- we are entering the peak of the season. So any change in the way you guys are looking at this business?
And what is the spend now for the new plant? And what is your status going to expect it to come through?

Schaeffler India Limited

Schaeffler India Limited CC-Jun24.pdf · 2024-07-24
So, first question is with regard to the working capital. If I had to look at your cash flow statement for the first six months, there seems to be a substantial rise in inventories and receivables. Is it - - how do you read it, is it more a reflection of market conditions? Or is it specific to Schaeffler, something that changed?
Okay. And second one is with regard to the Passenger Vehicle Technologies. Even though there is still a debate about whether incentives will be given for hybrids or not. But if you look at from a Schaeffler point of view and the parents experience, how do you see the opportunity or a threat from hybrid technology? What is the scope to play there? And will there be a sharp catch-up for OEMs to do is there to then what will be the good or bad for Schaeffler?

So, the first question is wanted to get your perspective on the railway s segment in detail about new range. How is the pricing scenario there in the current situation? We understand the opportunity is pretty large but there are incumbents who are there versus you entering into that segment. So, how do you see the pricing scenario when you have won these new contracts?
The second question is with regard to the new products you talked about in the annual report. There seems to be like almost 10 new products which you plan to introduce per se. Wanted to know amongst these, what are the big ones to look forward in terms of addressable market or in terms of making the influence on your revenue in the next two, three years perspective?
